# Update an Email activity

PUT https://api.close.com/api/v1/activity/email/{id}/
Content-Type: application/json

This can be used to modify a draft or send it once the draft is complete.

When changing a draft's status to `scheduled` or `outbox`, the `sender` field is required if not already set on the email.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (basic auth, required) — Use your API key as the username and leave the password empty.
- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.
