It lets you label them and configure their settings. There are a few types of phone numbers: - `internal` - the number is owned and controlled by Close. - `external` - the number is owned by you and can only be used for outbound Close calls as a caller ID (e.g. your company cell phone number). - `virtual` - the number is owned by you, but calls are routed to Close via [BYOC](https://help.close.com/docs/bring-your-own-carrier-byoc). Whether a phone number belongs to an individual user or to a group is determined by the `is_group_number` boolean. [Learn more about group numbers](https://help.close.com/docs/setting-up-calling#section-add-a-group-number). If a phone number is a group number, it will list all participating users' IDs in `participants` and all participating phone numbers in `phone_numbers`. > This endpoint shows you all the phone numbers that exist in your organization and lets you rent new numbers. ## API Docs - Phone Numbers [List or search for phone numbers](https://developer.close.com/api/resources/phone-numbers/list.md) - Phone Numbers [Request an internal phone number](https://developer.close.com/api/resources/phone-numbers/create.md) - Phone Numbers [Retrieve a single phone number](https://developer.close.com/api/resources/phone-numbers/get.md) - Phone Numbers [Update a phone number](https://developer.close.com/api/resources/phone-numbers/update.md) - Phone Numbers [Delete a phone number](https://developer.close.com/api/resources/phone-numbers/delete.md) ## OpenAPI Specification The raw OpenAPI 3.1 specification for this API is available at: - [OpenAPI JSON](https://developer.close.com/api/resources/phone-numbers/openapi.json) - [OpenAPI YAML](https://developer.close.com/api/resources/phone-numbers/openapi.yaml)
