An organization that sells to companies rather than people can rename Leads to Accounts, and Close will use "Account" and "Accounts" throughout the app instead. Currently, there are the following label types: - `lead` - `lead_status` - `contact` - `opportunity` - `opportunity_status` ## Labels are display names only Standard object labels never change the shape of the API. Resource paths, field names, ID prefixes, and enum values all keep their built-in names no matter what an organization has renamed. Leads stay at `/lead/` with a `lead_` ID prefix even for an organization that calls them Accounts. So use these labels when you render Close data in your own UI, and keep using the built-in names when you talk to the API. > Rename the standard CRM objects — Leads, Contacts, and Opportunities — to match the vocabulary your team already uses. ## API Docs - Standard Object Labels [List standard object labels for your organization](https://developer.close.com/api/resources/standard-object-labels/list.md) - Standard Object Labels [Fetch a single standard object label](https://developer.close.com/api/resources/standard-object-labels/get.md) - Standard Object Labels [Rename a standard object label](https://developer.close.com/api/resources/standard-object-labels/update.md) - Standard Object Labels [Reset a standard object label to its default](https://developer.close.com/api/resources/standard-object-labels/delete.md) ## OpenAPI Specification The raw OpenAPI 3.1 specification for this API is available at: - [OpenAPI JSON](https://developer.close.com/openapi.json) - [OpenAPI YAML](https://developer.close.com/openapi.yaml)
